We were in the area for a work trip and wanted to grab a quick coffee. Top Hat was on my list. It’s an unassuming, little space. You’d easily miss it since it’s in kind of a weird place in the building. Plus there’s not really any indicator of it from outside. Service was quick. I went with an iced mocha which was delicious. It’s on the sweeter side, but it’s the kind of mocha I like. A good, rich drink.

Top hat in plaza is too empty to be cozy/enthusiastic. Coffee good as always, not freshest (made from the few beans remaining in grinder, cant blame with so little turnaround of people). Red beard no longer works. Nice variety of pastries like those present at the Walnut St. Top Hat. Just enter the plaza from the lot and to the right.
the butter croissant was okay. not phenomenal- just ok. matcha latte is good! the guy in the front of very friendly and helpful :)
Top Hat Coffee Lounge is a hidden gem. It's located within Bala Plaza which makes finding this shop an intentional act. However, your efforts will be rewarded with a friendly greeting from a professional barista and a perfect drink. The quiet atmosphere and the public wifi make for a comfortable stay.
Found this place on google and was so pleasantly surprised. I needed a place to grab a matcha and work for a while. Theis was a great barista and him and I were able to chat between customers. I was there for a few hours and he greeted every customer with a smile, great service and a quick chat. Many regular customers were happy to see him while grabbing their drinks. Will defiantly be back again!
Shoutout to my mans that got me an iced latte as he was closing up. Easily the best coffee I've had in Philly and certainly worth the short walk into the plaza to get it.
The coffee here is really really good. I went for the first time ever today. They have hot and cold coffee/espresso drinks, shakes, and some pastries. The owner is super nice and was excited to tell us about all the choices.
